Come one, come all and fill your pockets with shinies because this Ren Faire season we will be bringing you some of the most fun possible!
Trinket Trading is a whimsical and community driven tradition in which fairgoers give or trade small items (Faire Favors). From charms to coins to toys to bookmarks, these keepsakes are tokens of friendship and fun.
Throughout the day, you will be able to perform quests in the Bearwood Fairy Trail. The Quest Givers will reward participants with trinkets which can be used for trading! However, beware: SOME trinkets handed out may be cursed or may mark you as a potential target!
We encourage all Faire goers to grab some trinkets from around their house or cheaply from a hobby store and trade them around town. Just ask another citizen if they are trinket trading as well, and you may find yourself a prize!
We ask that you do not have any dangerous trinkets; nothing sharp and no shooters. Also nothing offensive, unclean, leaves a mess, and no food or drink.
Trinket trading is going to be a blast and we encourage you to prepare yourself accordingly for this community based activity!
The Huntington Museum of Art will host a fan-making activity where faire-goers will have the chance to make custom scenes on wooden fans with mod-podge, feathers, and folders full of magazine cut-outs.
Embellishments such as adhesive jewels, ribbons, and bells will be available to decorate the handle of each fan.
From forests to castles to creatures to caves, adventurers can create a custom accessory to complete their Ren Faire attire!
